Pocahontas County Artisan Cooperative

The Pocahontas County Artisan Cooperative opened its doors in May, 2007. Based in Green Bank, West Virginia, the co-op showcases the original work of artists and craftspeople from Pocahontas County and the surrounding region. Artists whose work is on display at the cooperative get to keep 100 percent of the procedes from the sale of their artwork. Instead of charging a commission on artists’ work, the gallery is supported through the payment of modest monthly dues by all members. Members are also asked to work at least one day each month to keep the gallery open. This provides a unique opportunity for visitors to the gallery to meet and talk to the artists.
