Frank Lloyd Wright House Of Worship Open House

There will be an open house at one of the few Frank Lloyd Wright houses of worship on November 15 in Elkins Park, PA. Beth Sholom Congregation was Frank Lloyd Wright's only synagogue and the last project that he completed before his death.

Restoration project resurrects man’s career in stained glass

As Kenny Campbell works at First Christian Church in Joplin, he is on familiar ground. Or rather, high above it on 30-foot scaffolding as he restores the luster of a large rose window on the church’s south side. Thirty-two years ago, Campbell worked on these same windows.

In 1977, Campbell was working for the Miami Glass Co. First Christian Church contacted the company to do repair work after a storm damaged several of the building’s historic stained glass windows. The company didn’t want the job, but Campbell was interested in the project. He had done smaller stained glass windows, but never anything of the church’s size before.

Judson Studios Glass Featured On Pasadena Tour

Pasadena Heritage, a nonprofit preservation organization, will present its annual Craftsman Weekend on October 16-18, 2009. Celebrating its 18th year this fall, Craftsman Weekend is the largest and most comprehensive salute to the Arts & Crafts Movement in the Western United States.

This year a new bus tour will be offered on stained glass installations and the Judson Studios. The tour will visit numerous buildings, including houses and churches, which feature Judson-designed stained glass.
