European Museum of Modern Glass

The creation of this new glass museum is thanks first and foremost to the Coburg businessman and arts patron, Otto Waldrich. He created the foundation which, with funding from numerous donors, financed the construction of the new building facing the Orangery in Park Rosenau by agreement with the Bavarian Administration of State-owned Palaces, Gardens and Lakes. Completed in just one year under the supervision of Coburg architect Albert Wagner, the museum is being fitted out and filled by the Kunstsammlungen der Veste Coburg.
