Backup Your Stained Glass
Patterns To A CD Or DVD

We can't emphasize how incredibly important backing up your patterns is. If anything should happen to your hard drive, you could possible lose all of your patterns as well as everything else on your hard drive. Backing up to another hard drive is always a good idea, but what if that drive also fails? Or perhaps your entire computer system gets infected with a virus?

Backing up to permanent media like a CD or DVD is crucial to any strategy of long-term pattern making. There is no additional expense for software, everything you need comes with your Mac or PC. There are no extra programs to buy, just pop in a CD-R or DVD and follow the simple instructions we have outlined on the following videos. The only actual expense you may encounter is the cost of the CD or DVD media, but they are relatively cheap and you may already have them around for other purposes.
