Wire Cutters

Wire Cutters A tool used for cutting wire. At the stained glass maker's workbench, it is often used in conjunction with needle nose pliers to do wire work. Wire cutters are another must have tool for the workbench. Besides being the go-to tool, obviously, for cutting wire, it is also commonly used for cleaning up stray corners and angles of copper foil and lead. Wire cutters are much stronger that a craft knife for these types of tasks.

Look for small-headed wire cutters, also sometimes referred to as wire nippers, for getting into close quarters for cleanup.  A good pairs pricing runs about $10 to $15.
